Saint Louis city life
Initially, French settlers were the first ones who set foot in Saint Louis and the city is also known as a place with a historic importance. Saint Louis got the nickname of “the Gateway to the West” due to the fact that it was the traveling spot where many explorers began their migration towards the west. Thomas Jefferson played the leading role in this movement.

Visit the historic Anheuser-Busch Brewery, taste a variety of premium brands and try some of the typical St.Louis food products in one of the local restaurants (the Gerber sandwich, or the St. Louis-style pizza).
Sport events are very common in St.Louis and you can watch matches of the local hockey and basketball teams.

Population in Saint Louis is not typically very diverse, but it does count for around 15 % of foreign born people that live here. Major ethnic communities include Asian, Hispanic (particularly Mexicans), Russians, Turks, Albanians and a quite large number of Bosnians.
You may encounter several expats and international business people coming mainly from European countries – all contributing to the slight multicultural vibe of Saint Louis.
