UCS is a rapidly expanding institution combining modern facilities with experienced lecturers. UCS is an institution that allows you to access the knowledge and resources of a range of partners along with our two validating universities, the Universities of East Anglia and Essex, our Centres throughout Suffolk and beyond, and the wider community.
UCS offers a number of Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in the areas of Applied Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities, Business, Leadership and Enterprise, Nursing and Midwifery, and Science, Technology and Health.
The main campus is in Ipswich, the county town of Suffolk. UCS also has centres in historic Bury St Edmunds, the seaside towns of Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft, and the beautiful village of Otley. The Ipswich Campus is close to Harwich ferry port and an hour from London and Stansted airport. There are very good transport links into London and across the East of England.

UCS has a range of high-quality facilities on offer including a brand new purpose built self-catered accommodation block in Ipswich called Athena Hall which has 600 en-suite study bedrooms and is a 2 minute walk from the UCS teaching buildings, and the Union bar and restaurant.
UCS has invested to create environments that showcase the latest teaching methods and support our students to achieve great things. The new James Hehir Building includes the latest clinical skills and sports and exercise laboratories. It also has specialist bioscience teaching and research facilities, which have all been created to give you the tools you need to achieve your full potential.
At UCS Ipswich you will be able to access dual function iMacs in our learning resource centres across the whole campus. The Arts Building has among its facilities painting, sculpture, drawing and print studios; installation and video spaces; a film studio; and two dance studios. There is also a café and social space for students and staff to enjoy. This complements a new café and gallery in the Waterfront Building and stunning UCS Union café bar in the James Hehir Building.
We have a strong Student Support team who are dedicated to offering you a range of information, advice and guidance services throughout your time at UCS.
The team are committed and friendly and provide a free, confidential, impartial and experienced service. They conform to professional standards and are committed to a rapid response to all students.
The areas covered by Student Support are broad and far reaching, from a careers service to counselling, support with disabilities and specific learning differences, to advice on finance and study support.
The team includes an International Student Support Officer who supports international students before and during their time studying with us.

As well as these there is a weekly famers market that takes place each week in the town centre and sells fresh fruit, vegetables, fish and bread.
