Established in 1991 by a joint venture of Lithuanian, Canadian and American foundations, LCC has distinguished itself in the region by offering a unique, future-oriented style of education and an interactive academic environment.
LCC International University offers accredited Bachelors and Masters programs in social sciences and humanities. LCC is a liberal arts university. Therefore, each program includes multidisciplinary core curriculum courses which affirm students’ critical thinking and conflict transformation skills while challenging students within a multicultural perspective and Christian worldview.
LCC is a teaching university. Thus, our primary aim is providing high-quality teaching to our students. However, this aim is not reachable without academic and applied research. Our multidisciplinary approach to research cuts across all departments matching the various talents we have at the university. It is our aim to see our research translated into practical applications, changing lives and making real impact to local societies.
Since the year 2008, LCC organizes annual interdisciplinary academic conferences that are well attended by local and international researchers.
The Career Development Center (CDC) provides a range of services for students. We encourage students of any university year to stop by our office in Student Life Office 22B or send an email for advice and assistance in career planning and development.
Counseling services provide a confidential place for students to work through personal concerns and issues they may encounter during their time at LCC. A counselor at LCC International University is available by appointment to discuss any issues and help students find ways of dealing with the challenges they face. Counseling Services can offer workshops in areas of possible problems or healing areas to students.
Living in University Housing isn’t just about a bed to sleep in and a place to store your stuff. The Residence Life & Housing at LCC International University offers amazing places to live and great places to learn. Students from over 30 different countries live in LCC’s residence halls, giving residents many opportunities to grow in their knowledge of new cultures and traditions. By living with 2-3 other people in a room, you will also be given many opportunities to learn how to respect and be tolerant of differences.

In August of 1999, LCC occupied its new campus property on Kretingos street in Klaipeda. In addition to the current facilities, a campus master plan calls for future construction of dormitories and additional academic space around the small lake.
In order to ensure the holistic personal development of our students, Student Life Division runs specific sports programs and recreational activities. With support from Student Life Division, students have an opportunity to take their own initiative and participate in various activities.
