History
The foundation of the Higher School of Commerce in Svishtov is strongly bound with the town’s history. During the period of the Bulgarian National Revival Svishtov gained recognition as an important commercial centre, where a number of educational and cultural institutions were founded through the bright years of the Bulgarian Renaissance.
Education
The mission of the D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics is to provide high-quality education of highly qualified specialists in prestigious Bachelor, Master and Doctoral programmes, to aspire for high recognition of its scientific output in the European Research Area (ERA), to intensify the relationships with the business, public administration, and non-governmental sector, as well as to implement joint initiatives with high added value.
Research
ISR's mission is to organize theoretical and practical scientific research in line with the scientific specialization and the role and place of the D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics in the European and the national scientific and educational systems in order to support and develop its scientific function.

The Centre for International Affairs (CIA) aims to create, maintain and enrich the international partner network of the D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics in order to support sustainable foundations of partnerships in the field of scientific and educational cooperation worldwide. Furthermore, it promotes the integration of the academic society into the European and Global framework of Higher Education.
D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics and its Bachelor, Master and Doctoral programmes are accredited by the Bulgarian National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency (NEAA), which is a full member of the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR) and European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA).
