A century ago, Kettering University opened its doors to its first class of automotive engineers and technicians. Back then we were a night school known as The School of Automobile Trades. Today, we serve forward-thinking students of every industry with 14 undergraduate degrees, five graduate degrees (three online), and a variety of concentrations and minors.
Kettering University combines theory and practice better than any institution in the world. US News & World Report ranks Kettering University in the top 15 non-Ph.D.-granting universities in the nation; Automobile Magazine ranks us in the top five universities in the world for people looking to break into the automotive industry; and a recent CNNMoney article ranked Kettering 10th among the top private colleges in the country for Return on Investment. We credit these top rankings and industry accolades to our ability to link industry-relevant skills to breakthroughs in science, technology, engineering, mathematics and business.
