History

 The University was founded in 1499. In 1501, Pope Alexander VI signed the bill of approval and one year later Ferdinand II the Catholic proclaimed the Royal Mandatory Concession.

You can access to resources from outside the network, by setting up in the computer the VPN (Virtual Private Network), which allows you to work as if you were on the same computer network of the University.In order to use this service it is necessary to have an email account of the UV.

International Medical Insurance

This insurance have to cover, at least:
  • Health and medical care, both for accident and sickness.
  • Repatriation or sanitary transfer due to sickness or accident.
  • Repatriation or sanitary transfer in the event of death.
  • Travel for a family member in case of sickness or death.
  • Civil Responsibility.

Campus life

The University of Valencia extends throughout the city of Valencia and its metropolitan area on three university campuses: the campus linked by Blasco Ibáñez Avenue, the Tarongers campus and the Burjassot-Paterna campus.

Three campuses physically linked by the underground and tram and home to numerous research institutes, eighteen faculties and the School of Engineering are what make up the University de Valencia of today.

Sports facilities

The Physical Education and Sports Service has presence to the three campus of the University of Valencia 

Student clubs

Student Associations of the Universitat de València ACMAS, AVEM, AVEO and AEMES have organised a collection of basic needs (school material; non-perishable, without pork food; powder infant formula, toys, clothes or blankets) for the Sirian refugees in València. Donations can be made at the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, at the Faculty of Nursing and Podiatry, and in the Dental Clinic.

  • Spanish: the University of Valencia examines the Diplomas in Spanish as a Foreign Language (DELE) issued by the Ministry of Education and Culture. 
  • Italian: As a result of the agreement between the Centre for Evaluation and Language Certification, of the University for Foreigners of Perugia, the University of Valencia is the examination centre of the Official Certificates of the Italian Language (CELI). 
  • Valencian: The Language Policy Service conducts the examinations and issues the certificates of Valencian language skills.
  • Chinese: The Confucius Institute is an official centre for teaching Chinese language and the spreading of its culture.
