History
Falmouth University is a multi-arts university based in Falmouth and Penryn, Cornwall, England. Founded in 1902, it had previously been the Falmouth School of Art, Falmouth College of Art and Design and then Falmouth College of Arts until it received taught degree-awarding powers (and the right to use the title "University College") in March 2005.

Built on over 100 years of experience, our commitment to international students is well established and as a result, our student community is rich and diverse. Attracting the best international students from around the world is a key element of our internationalisation strategy and Falmouth offers a range of scholarships to students classified as 'overseas' for tuition fee purposes.

Offering extensive collections, the two libraries provide a wealth of digital resources, magazines, specialist material and journals. You'll find 30,000+ titles on DVD, Blu-Ray or to stream; image banks; news archives; business and creative databases; e-books and e-journals, all freely available.

Campus life
Subtropical gardens and light-flooded studios make Falmouth Campus a haven for creative practice. With a lively creative community, impressive facilities and a library packed with resources, it’s the perfect space to share and develop your skills.
Falmouth Campus is a ten-minute walk from Falmouth Town station, five minutes by train from Penryn and 20 minutes by train from Truro (every half hour Monday - Friday.) There are eight buses an hour to Penryn at peak times.
Sports facilities
Our Sports Centre, on Penryn Campus, includes a spacious gym with up to 90 of the latest stations from Pulse Fitness, including cardiovascular, resistance and free weights areas.A four-court sports hall is available for hire for a range of sports and activities, including 5-a-side football, tennis and badminton. Our fitness studio runs a variety of fun, weekly classes; from yoga and pilates to circuits and kettlebells.
