Our roots took hold in 1878, when St Katherine's College first opened its doors in Tottenham. Seven additional colleges and training institutions across north London followed, coming together to form Middlesex Polytechnic in 1973.
The Mediterranean island of Malta is home to Middlesex University's third international campus, launched in September 2013.
Malta has quickly established itself as a regional centre for financial services and a hub for the information and communications technology industry which is a main pillar of the Maltese economy. Our top-up and postgraduate courses in Computing, IT and Business will help to equip students with the skills and knowledge they need to take advantage of the myriad IT, gaming development, financial services and managerial employment opportunities in Malta – and across the globe.
As a Middlesex student, UniHub is your virtual learning environment and online gateway to the University. It also includes a personalised section called myUniHub, where you can access all the information you need about your academic programme.
Malta offers a variety of accommodation options for students, many of which are located close to the University campus, and can suit varying needs, lifestyles and budgets.
The University also offers its own residency options. Middlesex offers accommodation in Swieqi / St Julians area which is around 5-10 minute walk from campus.
All University residences are large, modern apartments consisting of 3 or more bedrooms. Students can opt for either a shared or a single room. All options come with shared kitchen and living facilities. The large living / dining areas in each apartment provide a comfortable area for students to hang out together. All rent is inclusive of water and electricity.
Our library houses a collection of hard copy resources for students, as well as a wide range of electronic and multimedia resources such as e-books, online journals and databases. There are computer work stations, silent study areas and group work spaces, and free access to wi-fi and printing, scanning and copying services.
Students can access computer workstations in our Paul Vella Library and in computer labs on campus. All students are given their own Middlesex account to access the university's network.
We also provide free wifi access to all students on campus, so you are able to work using your own laptop, tablet or smartphone.
Students can also access free printing/copying for academic purposes in our library.
