Student services

UB is committed to offering services that help students succeed.  These services provide UB students with a comprehensive support network.

Housing services

The Office of Housing and Residential Life offers six different residence halls—including the newly built University Hall, for you to call home while living and learning at UB.

Library services

The Magnus Wahlstrom Library provides services and resources to improve learning outcomes for all academic programs. Continually adapting to changing needs, the Library: Offers strong information literacy programs; Supports faculty and student research; Strengthens teaching and learning.

Medical services

The University of Bridgeport Student Health Services offers high quality, student health care for the treatment of acute illnesses and injuries.

We realize that the transition to college life can be exciting and challenging. It can also be highly stressful since social and emotional concerns can interfere with effective functioning and academic performance.

Campus life

At the University of Bridgeport, student involvement and leadership in extracurricular activities is encouraged and celebrated. The Office of Campus Activities and Civic Engagement serves to advise and assist students with their programming efforts, provide training and leadership development, and coordinates local volunteer and community service opportunities for students.

Sports facilities

The UB athletic facilities are host to the training and competition of 13 NCAA Division II sports.  The facilities are located on the campus of the University as well as the surrounding cities of Bridgeport and Stratford.

The Hubbell Gym is home to the UB men's and women's basketball teams and the women's volleyball team. In addition, the building houses the main athletic offices, as well as the athletic training room, equipment room, four newly-renovated locker rooms, the Arnold Room, and two workout areas.

The Ballpark at Harbor Yard is located off of Interstate 95, just one mile from the UB campus and is the home field for the UB baseball team. 

Student clubs

Student life at UB is engaging, exciting, and fun. With more than 50 active student clubs and organizations, it’s hard not to be involved on campus. Our campus has something to offer everyone.

The University of Bridgeport is fully accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. The University also is accredited by the Board of Governors of the Connecticut Department of Higher Education.
