Housing services

Living on campus offers many advantages and has been proven to enhance students' success at Ohio State. We do our best to find the one right for you.

Campus housing is home to first-year and upperclass students. All unmarried, full-time students within two years of high school graduation must live on campus, unless exempted, space is no longer available, or they are living with family.

As such, Student Life University Housing supports the academic and social success of all its residents. Within our diverse community of residence halls, University Housing affirms that one's dignity and uniqueness should be recognized and respected regardless of distinctions in identity.

Library services

University Libraries provides patrons with access to information at 15 locations across the Columbus campus.

The William Oxley Thompson Library provides materials and services related to the humanities and social sciences. The collection includes reference materials, government documents and some special collections.

ICT services

The Ohio State University provides wireless data network services for OSU students, faculty, staff, and guests. The wireless network is designed and maintained by the Office of the Chief Information Officer.

Medical services

International Students (F-1/J-1 Student VISA) who are new to The Ohio State University are required to complete all applicable components of the Vaccination Requirement.

The Health Screen appointment is completed by Student Life Student Health Services (SLSHS) and includes:

  • Health status review
  • Tuberculosis Testing

Sports facilities

The J. Michael Dunn Sport and Wellness Scholars (DSWS) Program is specifically designed to help students identify and expand upon personal interests in sport and wellness. The program provides students with opportunities to develop their leadership style, network with professionals in their respective fields, and form relationships with their peers and the greater Dunn Scholars community. By living together as a program freshman year, students form a close bond that carries throughout their time at Ohio State. With many events throughout the academic year, both professional and social in nature, students quickly identify ways to implement their interests into their undergraduate careers and beyond

With over 1,200 student organizations, Ohio State provides a wide range of opportunities for students to get involved. Student organizations have a significant impact in providing effective learning environments for students, preparing them to live and work in a global community.
