Escape Studios was founded in 2002 to help bridge the gap between education and industry and provide the industry with tomorrow's digital artists.
Education
It’s rare and exciting to have the opportunity to build a new higher education institution, finding innovative approaches to advancing the student experience through technology, collaboration and workplace practice. Academic excellence and professional relevance underpin everything that we do here – none of our programmes are just degrees. All staff are fully involved in this pioneering journey.
Research
Our academics are primarily tuition focused but many have a passion for research and regularly undertake research projects in collaboration with external organisations, established universities, as well as our own students.
Career
Our Escape Studios alumni, dubbed Escapees, have worked on big titles such as Avengers: Endgame, No Time To Die and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Some have started their own studio, worked on award-winning titles or joined industry giants including PlayStation, Industrial Light & Magic or Aardman Animation.

Student services
Student Services are responsible for providing administrative and pastoral support and advice to all Escape Studios students from the point of application, through to registration, through programme of study, and on to the award of a qualification as part of graduation.
Students can visit the Student Services desk for general advice or request personal meetings to discuss confidential issues.
Housing services
When it comes to accommodation at Escape Studios, there are three options; live in private halls, commute from home or live in a private shared flat or house. Check our website to find out more about the students accommodation providers that are popular with our students.
Medical services
We offer a counselling service for any students in need of some extra support. We are also an affiliated member of Nightline Association.
Campus life
Our campus at 190 High Holborn is based in the heart of London, surrounded by global businesses, tech start-ups and creative industry giants.

Student clubs
Our Student Association was established by students, for students. Each member has a specific role to play and is passionate about making sure you get the most out of life in the big city. They work closely with our Student Experience team to run exciting events, including Freshers week!
- Escape Studios is one of few Authorized Unreal Engine Training Centers in the UK, and an Unreal Engine Academic Partner.
- Escape Studios is a Rookies Certified School and a Houdini Certified school.
