Campus life

Roger Williams University was originally founded in Providence in 1956. With a growing student population, the hunt was on for a new, larger location, and in 1967, groundbreaking began at the University's current location. Formerly Ferrycliffe Farm, a dairy farm owned at the time by Mary Howe DeWolf and Marshall Fulton, the location was -- and remains -- convenient to Boston, Providence and Newport.

Sports facilities

Recreational Services provides opportunities for our students, staff and faculty to engage in a wide variety of healthy activities or informal recreation. We strive to provide an outlet to the daily rigors of collegiate life and allow the campus community to reenergize themselves. Our programs are designed to complement the academic experience through development of the whole person: social interaction, team building, leadership, respect, physical and mental wellbeing.
