University of Baltimore

The University of Baltimore is the public undergraduate, graduate and professional University, located in the heart of the state's largest city (just across the street from Penn Station) and proud to embrace the diversity that is critical to its role as an urban anchor institution.

History

From its beginnings, the University has granted educational access to a remarkably wide range of students: working adults, first-generation college goers, career-changers, and those who require the flexibility not found in traditional college settings.

Education

Our 70-plus undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs and certificates are aligned with high-demand careers. Our classes are delivered in flexible formats—day, evening, weekend, online—to fit your life and your schedule.

Research

The University of Baltimore is home to a vibrant community of scholars who regularly engage in research, scholarship, and creative activity. Our faculty actively publish their research in leading journals, serve on editorial boards, and engage in applied research where they apply the theories they teach in the classroom to address contemporary issues.

Career

  • The Office of Student Support (OSS) is committed to providing a holistic educational experience for all students. The office assists UB students to develop high standards of conduct, cultivate meaningful relationships, build resiliency, obtain equity through accessibility, and practice advocacy. Through collaborations with campus and community partners the OSS supports students as they navigate the university experience.
  • The Career and Internship Center is offering all coaching services virtually.

Student services

The University of Baltimore is working with an external partner, BHS to provide a comprehensive Student Assistance Program (SAP). The SAP offers mental health and wellness services to students and provides students confidential access to a professional counselor anytime, any day, anywhere via phone or online. Professionals are available around the clock to provide information, resources, and referrals for a wide spectrum of matters, including personal counseling, family concerns, information regarding substance concerns, legal and financial consultation, as well as other resources that may be of interest to students.

Housing services

In the past five years, the number of UB students living near campus has increased an amazing 134 percent. That's because everything you need is right here: who wouldn't love living close to great restaurants, stores, cultural attractions and nightlife?

There are many great housing options all around UB Midtown. If you live near campus, you'll not only be steps from classes, but also close to your friends and all the conveniences and luxuries city life provides.

Medical services

We hope you'll join us in creating a healthy and active community at UB. You can improve your quality of life by:

  • utilizing UB's full-service recreation center
  • joining a competitive sports team
  • taking part in recreation and wellness events.

Campus life

The 501 is located approximately a mile from campus. The facility offers granite kitchens, stainless steel appliances, free WiFi, Direct TV-enabled rooms, a 24-hour fitness center, outdoor green space and free on-site parking. Fully furnished units are available at no extra charge.

Sports facilities

All UB students are automatically members of the Recreation Center (you'll need to bring your Bee Card for access), as well as many UB staff and faculty members. All remaining staff and faculty, as well as UB alumni, can purchase membership.

Student clubs

There's something for everyone when it comes to getting involved at UB. Our student-run organizations cover academic, cultural, professional and social topics. No matter what you're into—anime, dance, fashion, law, politics or sports, to name a few—you'll fit right in.
