UOM subscribes to the widely-held belief that undergraduate teaching should be informed and supported by research active staff. It is thus equally important to encourage and support research throughout the University at a level that will allow all staff a reasonable opportunity to establish a research career, and to make continued access to research time/infrastructure.
The University of Mauritius Library has been set up to provide the necessary bibliographic support as well as the services and facilities to satisfy the information needs of its various categories of users, especially the registered students and the academic and technical staff of the university.
The UoM IT policy defines the acceptable use of the University’s computing facilities and services that help to establish a framework for consistency in UoM practices and processes pertaining to ICT.
