History
Walsh University is an independent, coeducational Catholic, liberal arts and sciences institution. Founded by the Brothers of Christian Instruction, Walsh University is dedicated to educating its students to become leaders in service to others through a values-based education with an international perspective in the Judeo-Christian tradition.

Walsh University offers small class sizes, hands-on experiential learning opportunities, interdisciplinary institutes, internships and global learning programs. Plus, a Walsh education is also affordable, with 98% of students receiving some form of financial scholarship or aid, and a tuition guarantee.

Housing services
Walsh University offers many different housing options to accommodate students. Each facility offers its own unique living environment and amenities including computer labs, vending machines, laundry facilities, study areas, and TV lounges. Each room has high-speed internet connectivity, phone and voicemail service, and includes a basic extended cable package at no additional cost to the standard housing charge.
Library services
Through the Library your student can request any of the 50 million books, DVDs and other items available in colleges and universities throughout Ohio. They can also access 18 million online articles, 320,000 ebooks and 48,000 streaming videos using the Library’s webpage. The library also has a collection of textbooks that your student can check out for two hours at a time.
ICT services
Each residence hall room is equipped with internet ports as well as wireless capabilities. Residential students are required to have updated anti-virus software installed when using the University network. Any questions regarding information technology can be answered by the Information Systems Help Desk at 330-490-4537.
Medical services
The Counseling Services of Walsh University are multifaceted. The primary function of these services is to provide brief counseling, testing, and referral services to students enrolled in the University.

Sports facilities
The Cecchini Center contains two gym floors and hosts the Cavaliers' men's basketball, women's basketball, and volleyball games. Alumni Arena, Walsh's newest venue, opened in the fall of 2009 and hosts the basketball games as well as select on campus events such as graduation, intramurals, and summer camps. It features six scoreboards (one on each end in the corner and four in the center above midcourt), the main court with an option of two full-size courts with bleachers in, and six basketball hoops. It seats approximately 2,000 people for basketball games. In 2017, the floor was completely redesigned for the first time to feature the new logo at midcourt.
Student clubs
Our student clubs and organizations provide an opportunity for leadership, growth and engagement in a student driven environment. Walsh has over 50 different student organizations on campus providing countless opportunities to meet new people, become leaders in service to others, and well as make meaningful connections to our campus community.
Walsh is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission (hlcommission.org), a regional accreditation agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. The Higher Learning Commission (HLC) is an independent corporation and one of six regional institutional accreditors in the United States.
