Housing services

Your home away from home! The Campus Life Office oversees the Housing and Residence Life operations at APU. We strive to make your on-campus living experience as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. We are dedicated to the social and mental well-being of our residents, as well as their physical comfort while living on campus.

Library services

The Anchorage Higher Education Consortium Library serves university students and faculty. It is operated through an agreement between Alaska Pacific University and the University of Alaska Anchorage. Centrally located, the Consortium Library serves university students and faculty.

Medical services

Through an agreement with the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC), current Alaska Pacific University students paying the APU Wellness Fee are eligible to receive basic primary care services at the Alaska Native Medical Center Internal Medicine Clinic.

Campus life

APU’s main campus sits on 170 heavily wooded acres just a few miles from downtown Anchorage. Our campus includes academic facilities, residence halls, community gathering spaces, recreational facilities, winter and summer recreational trails, and magnificent views of the Chugach Mountains.

Main campus is situated in the UMed District of Anchorage and is adjacent to the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium, Alaska Native Medical Center, Providence Hospital, and the University of Alaska Anchorage. APU shares a consortium research library with UAA. Other buildings found on the APU Campus include the US Geological Survey and the Elmo Sackett Broadcast Center/Alaska Public Media.

Sports facilities

Just across the street from the Atwood Center & Carr-Gottstein Building lies the Moseley Sports Center, the main center for our recreation programs on campus.

At Moseley, you’ll find a comprehensive lineup of aquatic, fitness, sports, recreation, and wellness activities. Most of the services are provided at no charge to students and at greatly reduced rates for APU employees, as well as alumni and their families.

Student clubs

Here you will find the different clubs and student groups that currently exist at APU. If you are looking to get involved and join a group be sure to check these out! If we don’t have it, then start it! As a member of the APU community, just because you didn’t see the club one year or it was not listed does not mean you can’t start you own club! Our organizations vary from year to depending on student interest but that never deters new clubs from starting up and thriving! If you can find other students who are interested in your ideas, bring your idea to ASAPU and they will help you get focused and headed in the right direction.
