Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary

Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary forthrightly embraces Jesus’ call to “follow me” by educating leaders for God’s reconciling mission in the world. Our work in graduate and lifelong Anabaptist theological education is rooted in the saving power of the life, death, resurrection and ongoing ministry of Jesus Christ, the Word of God.

History

Mennonite Biblical Seminary (MBS), one of the two seminaries in the history of AMBS, comes from a long tradition of theological education. Goshen (Indiana) College, which began in 1894, established a Bachelor of Theology curriculum in 1933. The Bible department became Goshen Biblical Seminary (GBS) in 1946.

Education

At AMBS, students engage deeply in the study of theology alongside a supportive community of scholars. You will be able to design, with your advisor, an academic program that is relevant and experiential in preparation for the contexts of your future ministries.

Housing services

AMBS provides 25 units of campus housing, including one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. Most units come as furnished apartments, although unfurnishe  apartments may be available.

Several units are ideal for families with children. Others are available for small clusters of students who wish to live in a community arrangement.

Library services

The library at Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary is the perfect place on campus to get some quiet, read while using an exercise bike or take a nap in a hammock.Oh, also books. You’ll find lots of print and online books and plenty of journals in our library. You’ll also find knowledgeable and caring professionals to help you find and use these resources.

Campus life

AMBS is committed to assisting all members of the AMBS community in providing for their own safety and security. Choosing a post-secondary institution is a major decision for students and their families.  Along with academic, financial and geographic considerations, we understand the issue of campus safety may also be a concern.
