Davenport University is a private, non-profit institution that prepares students for successful careers with undergraduate and graduate degrees in business, technology, health and urban education. Research

Research is the cornerstone of education. Broadly defined, it means gathering of information for the advancement of knowledge. Scientific research is more specific. For a successful career in science, you must understand how to apply the scientific method to questions and use proper procedures to answer those questions. You must then share the findings with fellow researchers and join them in a critical examination of the work. Davenport University encourages students to experience this process first hand under the guidance of experienced mentors. Research students observe, describe, predict, and explain the world around us, leading to exciting new applications.

Davenport offers free online assessments for our students and alumni, and we encourage you to contact Career Services after you complete your assessment to analyze the results.

Student services

Davenport University is committed to serving all students with disabilities both in and out of the classroom. Davenport University is committed to analyzing the appropriate application of any and all auxiliary aids or services based on the individual needs of students on a case-by-case basis. Any student with a documented disability is eligible to request services through Student Access. A Student Access Coordinator has been assigned at each campus.

Housing services

South Hall is reserved for incoming first year students interested in living on campus. Residents who stay in South Hall will reside in four bedroom suites. South Hall houses the campus dining hall, and has an array of amenities, including wireless Internet, cable, computer labs, social lounges, and conveniently located laundry rooms. Cook Hall may be used for overflow for first year students.

Medical services

WellConnect is a comprehensive program which includes face-to-face counseling and personalized support services designed to promote the physical and psychological well-being of Davenport students and their household members.

We have 11 locations across the state of Michigan, including an online campus allowing you to take courses from anywhere in the world.

Our programs are designed to make transferring from one campus to another a simple process, so no matter where life takes you, you can earn an education with Davenport.

Sports facilities

Davenport has 11 men's and 11 women's NCAA Division II teams.

Our 500+ student-athletes continue to put up impressive numbers both in the classroom and in competition. They hold an average GPA of 3.21 while continuing to earn top athletic remarks regionally and nationally.

Whether you're looking to compete at the highest level or stay active while making new friends, our campus community offers a team, club or organization tailored for you. And since we know that wins are better celebrated together, our students get free admission to sporting events on campus.
