Dordt College

Dordt College is committed to a residential learning community in which all of our activities, both in class and beyond the classroom, are infused with the biblical truth and good news of God's love through Jesus Christ.

Associated with the Christian Reformed Church, Dordt College was founded in 1955 and welcomes all students who are interested in a biblical, Christ-centered education.

Dordt College employs students in various positions on campus. Information concerning on and off-campus positions may be received from the director of financial aid. The college cooperates with local merchants, business managers, and farmers in distributing information to all students about job openings and temporary employment.

Housing services

Four apartment buildings located between the Recreation Center and Covenant Hall comprise the East Campus Apartment complex. The apartments were remodeled in 2011, and feature an open floor concept and updated kitchen spaces.

Library services

The library is primarily designed to be a place of information exchange; however, it is also to be used as a place for quiet study. Students who must study together should reserve a seminar room or find another place outside the library to study where their talking will not disturb other patrons. Violators will be admonished or asked to leave the library.

Medical services

On-Campus Medical Services include:

  • Emergency first aid
  • Assessment of illness and injury
  • Over-the-counter medications
  • Basic medical supplies available free of charge
  • Loan of special equipment (crutches, wheelchairs, shower chairs, hot/cold packs)
  • Blood pressure screening
  • Tuberculosis screening
  • Weight screening
  • Dressing changes
  • Ear irrigation
  • In-house rapid lab testing (strep, mono, UTI, pregnancy)
