As a Christ-centered institution, East Texas Baptist University educates students by integrating biblical faith and learning to develop mind, body, and soul through community engagement to prepare graduates to be Christian servant leaders in their calling to God and humanity.

History

East Texas Baptist University was founded as the College of Marshall in 1912, later becoming East Texas Baptist College in 1944 and East Texas Baptist University in 1984.

Education

ETBU students have the choice of studying one of 43 undergraduate and 11 graduate programs offered through the Schools of Business, Christian Studies, Communication and Performing Arts, Humanities, Education, Natural and Social Science, Nursing, and Professional Studies.

The Sisk Health Services Clinic is centrally located on campus in the Bennett Student Commons and serves as a Primary Care Ambulatory Clinic that provides medical services that include: 

  • Service Laboratory Testing offered through Clinical Pathology Laboratories
  • COVID-19 Tests - PCR, Rapid Antigen, & Antibody 
  • Rapid Tests - Influenza, Strep, Mononucleosis, Urinalysis
  • IV Hydration Therapy
