La Roche College is a private, Catholic, co-educational college north of Pittsburgh founded by the Sisters of Divine Providence in 1963. La Roche combines a quality educational experience with clubs, athletics, social and community volunteer activities, spiritual well-being and more to prepare students for life in a constantly changing global society.

La Roche College was founded in 1963 by the Congregation of Divine Providence as an independent, private, Catholic college for religious sisters. The College is named for Marie de la Roche, a French woman of noble birth who became the first superior of the Congregation. The La Roche logo, the fleur-de-lis, is part of her family’s coat of arms.

At La Roche College, students embark on an educational and professional learning track that allows them to acquire professional skills through engagement in career activities and co-curricular experiences. Beginning freshman year, the Office of Career Development provides individualized assessment tools and counseling to assist students in mapping out an educational path appropriate to their intended career goals. As students progress through their academic programs, the Office of Career Development offers a full range of workshops, counseling, programs and online resources to support the transition from college to professional career.
