Founded in Smyrna, Asia Minor, in 1875, by missionaries from Boston, Massachusetts, The American College of Greece is the oldest and largest US accredited college or university in Europe.

Research Scholars Organization

International in its scope, the RSO seeks to advance critical thinking, collaborative work, autonomous and collective research, international and local partnerships on all conceivable levels, and finally development of leadership skills within a professional and ethical framework, under the context of a new age of thinking driven by Open-Source Intelligence and what one of its founders calls Collective Intelligence. Students are treated as scholars in the truest sense of the word.


Established in 1976, Career Services at Deree – The American College of Greece has since been helping students and alumni chart their professional course to achieve fulfilling and rewarding careers. ACG students and alumni are successfully placed in the Greek job market continuously, and today hold a strong presence in over 1700 companies. Career Services builds relationships and longstanding collaborations between students and potential employers.  


Student services

From media centers and helpdesks to student software and synchronized email-calendar accounts, Deree’s Information Resource Management Department (IRM) provides students with technology resources that can make their academic life more efficient, and feel more manageable.

Library services

The library occupies 75,000 ft2 and has a total seating capacity of 360. The library’s facilities include:

  • ample space for group study, as well as individual study carrels
  • 28 computers and 4 multi-function printers
  • a Library Instruction room
  • wireless internet access
  • a Media Center

ICT services

Information technology is integral to all aspects of academic life at The American College of Greece, including teaching and learning, research & creative endeavors, outreach, administration, and student life. The systems and services impact virtually every aspect of campus life and are central to the academic enterprise as well as administrative processes.

Medical services

The ACG Health & Wellness Center offers Health Services, Wellness Coaching. We provide accessible high quality health services to meet the needs of all members of the College Community. We support and encourage students, staff and faculty members to realize their optimal physical, emotional, social and intellectual goals through health promotion and disease prevention programs and services.
