Top reasons to study here

  • We transcend borders and challenge students to step outside their comfort zones and into projects and experiences designed to expand their critical thinking.
  • We develop exceptional problem-solvers through foundational, interdisciplinary first year courses and a project-based curriculum.
  • We foster growth both in and out of our unique, immersive virtual classroom and provide unfettered access to professors and a coaching team.

History

Minerva’s founder Ben Nelson first conceived of what eventually became Minerva University in 1993 as a plan to reinvent the Ivy League university model to better prepare graduates for the twenty-first century. Today’s great American universities were founded on the notion of liberal arts education, the idea that a university education meant that its graduates were well prepared.

Education

Your major establishes the focus of your learning at Minerva University, bolstered by elective courses, a Capstone project, and, for many students, senior Tutorials. Every major starts with a comprehensive set of coursework that provides the foundation for concentrations within the major.
