FAMU’s newest on-campus residence hall, a traditional-style residence hall offering co-ed floors and 700 double rooms, opened for business in August 2020. Beds are exclusively available to junior and senior students.
Whether you choose Palmetto South, your apartment comes fully furnished with two bathrooms, a common space and a kitchen. The complex has all the practical and recreational amenities you need to focus on your studies and take some well-deserved downtime.
Palmetto Street Phase Ill Apartments is an apartment style facility. The facility consists of three buildings: Building 162, Building 163 and the Common Building. The facility includes single and double rooms. Each apartment is fully furnished.
Library services
The FAMU Libraries hold nearly 2 million volumes, over 155,000 e-books and e-journals, and 256,126 microforms which are readily accessible to users and are sufficient in scope to support both onsite and online programs.

Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University's very first dormitory, this historic residence hall empowers young women to bring about social change and challenges their entrepreneurial spirit through creative programming. Authentic sisterhood is at the heart of our small community, and residents are encouraged to learn from each other and build each other up.
Sports facilities
Sport Clubs are groups comprised of individuals who share a common interest in a sport or recreational activity and are registered organizations through the Office of Student Activities.
Sport Clubs are open to any FAMU student regardless of skill level and are totally inclusive. Clubs practice/meet on or near campus and some compete on a local, regional or national level.
Student clubs
Officers of the association serve a one-year term and are elected during the spring semester of each year. The officers are responsible for setting the calendar and agenda of the association.
They play a pivotal role in assuring that all honors students are participating in the various projects and events of the Honor Student Association.
Pi Theta Epsilon
FAMU hosts the Beta Mu chapter of this national honor society for occupational therapy. Graduate students who maintain a grade point average of 3.5 or above are qualified to be inducted into this honorary organization, the purpose of which is to promote research and scholarship among occupational therapy students.
