History
Founded in 1979 as a Consortium between the Politecnico di Milano and many Italian institutions and several leading public and private industrial groups, today MIP Politecnico di Milano Graduate School of Business is a non-for-profit consortium limited company.
Education
Politecnico di Milano is organized into 12 Departments, responsible for planning of the research strategies, and 4 Schools, responsible for the organization of education, 2 of them covering the fields of Engineering, 1 focused on Architecture, Urban Planning and Construction Engineering, and 1 School devoted to Design.
Thanks to a strong internationalization policy, several study programmes are taught entirely in English, attracting an ever-increasing number of talented international students, now forming a diverse community from more than 100 countries. In the academic year 2015/2016, 22% of the students enrolled in Master of Science Programmes were international.
Research
MIP and the Department of Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering together make up the School of Management of Politecnico di Milano, which is involved in all the many aspects surrounding research and education in the fields of management, economics and industrial engineering.
Career
The Career Development Office offers to MIP Master students services aimed at developing their career path and enhancing their professional network.
It is also a strategic partner of companies and organisations, both at national and international level, offering services of employer branding, talent acquisition and recruiting.

Student services
The International Student Office(ISO) provides the following services:
- University Enrollment
- Pre-departure briefing and orientation session upon arrival
- Guidance on how to arrange housing at Politecnico residences or at other residences in agreement with MIP
- Advise on private accommodation with referrals
- Counselling on permit of stay application and renewal
- Legal documents for staying in Italy: fiscal code (tax/social security number); registration at Milan municipality; enrolment in the National Health Care System
- Bank account
- Counselling related to emergencies and unexpected immigration problems
Housing services
Securing accommodation is one of the most important aspects of your time in Milan. Finding the right place at a price that is suitable for you, means you will avoid unnecessary worry and will be able to devote more time to your studies.
Many accomodation providers offer a variety of rooms and apartments types, with both shared and single bedroom options. Students looking to keep the costs of living down should consider a shared room option.
Library services
The Politecnico di Milano Library Services comprise online resources and several libraries located in the different campuses. Exchange students can obtain access by requesting a temporary card.
Sports facilities
Students sport activities at Politecnico di Milano are organized by Polimi Sport.
Also, a gym close to our campus offers memberships at competitive prices to exchange students.

- Since first joining the Financial Times’ rankings of best European Business Schools in 2009.
- In 2013, the MBA and Executive MBA programs received the prestigious international accreditation, AMBA.
- The School is member of PRME, Cladea and QTEM.
- From 2015, the School is a member of AACSB International.
- In 2017, the School is the first Italian business school to receive endorsement from the EOCCS.
- The School of Management is also included in the QS World University Rankings with its Global MBA programs.
