History
Le Mans Université is a multidisciplinary institution founded in 1977. As a key socio-economic and educational player in the Grand Ouest region, it is situated on two campuses 80 kms apart, one in Le Mans and the other in Laval. The University offers a wide range of Labor-marketed oriented programs open to everyone.
Education
With 17 Undergraduate programs, 38 Master's Programs, 2 Engineering programs, 8 Doctoral schools (Bac + 6 to Bac + 8), and a wide range of professional programs (University Diplomas, Bachelor’s degrees for professionals...), our University offers diverse programs open to anyone. These programs have access to nationally and internationally renowned research laboratories.

Career
Thanks to the variety of degrees offered at the University and action taken by the Office of Assistance for Occupational Integration (BAIP – Bureau d'Aide à l'insertion Professionnelle), opportunities for internships and employment are offered with local socio-economic partners of the University. Numerous national and International enterprises have confidence in the University and its students, including Airbus, Mutuelles du Mans Assurances, Dassault, and Areva.

Just ask anyone: Life is good at Le Mans Université! Students have access to different kind of structures which guarantee their sucess in a good learning environment: a modern library, a computer and technology center, cultural service and leisure, a student life center (EVE), and a student health center.
Housing services
If you come as an exchange student, Le Mans Université and its International Relations Office will give you all information you need to make your arrival easier. Our team of students tutors, recruited by our International Relations Office, will be at your disposal to help you with all these administrative procedures.
Student clubs
With 200 events each year hosted on its two campuses (colloquiums, conferences, special studies...) uniting teachers, researchers, students and the general public, Le Mans Université is a center for intellectual exchanges and knowledge sharing. The vitality of the numerous student associations contributes greatly to the dynamics of intellectual and cultural life on campus.

Very well recommended
The teachers are very knowledgeable, the program is very interesting and it provides the tools necessary to get inserted into the industry. Moreover, having staff actively involved in research and industry, as well as great access to equipment and diverse seminars is a great plus.
Best educational program about Electroacoustics
The best educational program you can find about Electroacoustics. Course materials are very complete and the teachers explanations are always very clear . Plus, you have the occasion to design and manufacture your own project with the help of university technicians, fablab, which is a unique way to transfer your knowledge into a practical application. I strongly recommend that you join IMDEA program in the next years.
Small university, good study environment
Besides this one of the smallest universities in France, the pedagogic level was clearly satisfying. They have such a great compromise with Erasmus Students in Faculté de Sciences et Techniques. Moreover, the student environment was incredible, my colleagues supported me over all the process.
