Education
Wageningen University & Research considers dialogue with society to be an essential aspect of its role as a knowledge institution. This platform serves as a meeting place with our staff members. The news item that Wageningen University & Research publishes weekly on the front page of the Saturday edition of the Volkskrant or NRC newspaper, is each time used to highlight a different topic from research at WUR. You can use this platform to respond to the subject and read extra information, such as relevant reports.
Research
Research results only have an effect when they are applied within society. That is why Wageningen University & Research cooperates closely with companies, governments and civil society to ensure those results can provide value. We can turn this into a reality at the Wageningen Campus, as we can make our facilities available, help start-ups in their initial development and design solutions tailored to international issues.
Career
WUR supports your personal development by offering you the opportunity to participate in various educational and training programmes. Together with your manager, you will decide what is important for your own development. Tailor-made programmes have been developed for example for managers who can participate in leadership courses. Specifically for professors, there is an education trajectory that they can follow.
Distance Learning Courses
- Certificate Guiding Seed Sector Transformation

Campus life
Wageningen Campus is a place for exchanges and connections between knowledge organisations, the business sector and start-ups. On Wageningen Campus we understand that sharing knowledge is just as important as developing knowledge, which is why the campus offers numerous opportunities for meeting, collaboration, inspiration and reflection. Welcome!
Sports facilities
Fancy a quick game of squash between lectures, tennis before dinner, or hockey after? The Sports Centre De Bongerd is situated centrally to the main university campus and three of the main student houses, with a range of facilities including a swimming pool, and is the base for various sport courses and clubs.
Alternatively, you might want to do something out in nature, like learning to row in team boats, maybe? Wageningen comes complete with a river to the south of town waiting for you to pay a visit to the rowing clubhouse.
