Hatfield city life
Hatfield offers a number of opportunities for entertainment and relaxation. The city is surrounded by beautiful and vestal countryside and it is close to the historic Roman city of St. Albans. Hatfield was one of the post-war New Towns built around London and has much modernist architecture from the period of the 1950’s.
Some of the most important tourist attractions in Hatfield are: the nine-screen Odeon cinema, the Mill Green Museum, the Art and Design Gallery, the Weston Auditorium and the Forum Hertfordshire, a music venue. The Hatfield House, a Jacobean house with gardens and park, is also one of Hatfield’s’ landmarks.
Shopping centres in the new town include the Galleria outlet shopping centre, the Stable Yard and at two supermarkets, ASDA and Tesco. Hatfield also has one public swimming pool, and four sports/leisure centres, of which two have indoor swimming pools.

In the winter, temperatures drop to an average of 6 °C (42.8 °F). There is a great deal of rainfall in Hatfield, so you will often need to keep an umbrella and a rain coat close to you.
