Porto city life
Porto is a stunningly beautiful city, where you can stroll around the narrow streets, relax in numerous cafés, check out the beach, admire modern architecture and taste the famous and fabulous Porto wine. A must see is the historical centre, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Night life in Porto is pretty dynamic, so go out and enjoy the great atmosphere in one of the local dance clubs, bars and pubs. Do try port wine and some of the Portuguese dishes, like the Francesinha, or Gomes de Sá Bacalhau.
Attend one of the festivals held in Porto, like St. John (São João Festival), or Queima das Fitas.
Whenever you feel like seeing other places of Portugal, you can go to Aveiro and Guimaraes cities, both around half an hour away, or to Vila Real, around 45 minutes away by train or by car.
International atmosphere in Porto
The multicultural atmosphere of Porto city is highly sustained by the large international student population, coming from all over Europe.
As far as the foreign-born residents, these are comprised of Africans, Eastern Europeans (mainly from Ukraine and Croatia), Brazilians and Asians.
Many multinational companies have also placed a local office or agency in Porto.
Weather Porto
Weather in Porto is generally warm, with dry summers and mild, rainy winters. Precipitations are frequent, as Porto is one of the wettest cities of Europe. However, summers are usually sunny with average temperatures between 16 °C (61 °F) and 27 °C (81 °F), sometimes getting as high as 38 °C (100 °F). During winter, temperatures range between 5 °C (41 °F) and 15 °C (59 °F) and no snowfall is recorded.
