About

History

1921 – Concordia College is founded by the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod to prepare young men for preaching and teaching ministries.

Today, Concordia University College of Alberta program offerings include undergraduate and graduate degree programs.

Concordia is located in Edmonton's Highlands neighborhood, steps away from the river valley walking trails.When you live on or near campus, you have quick access to your classes and professors, and the university's services and facilities. Library services

The Arnold Guebert Library provides the community with user-friendly access to a diverse collection of current and program-relevant materials.

Medical services

Visa-holding students who intend to study at University of Edmonton for less than 12 consecutive months are not eligible for Alberta Health Care and must subscribe to the mandatory International Student Medical Insurance Program

Visa-holding students who intend to reside in Alberta for at least 12 consecutive months qualify as residents and are eligible to obtain Alberta Health Care coverage.

Campus life

Concordia is an intimate university community within the busy urban center of Edmonton, Alberta's capital. The Highlands campus is tucked away in a residential area overlooking the beautiful North Saskatchewan River valley, minutes from downtown by public or private transportation. It's the best of both worlds: a peaceful locale within easy reach of the countless amenities of city center.

Sports facilities

Gym and Weight RoomConcordia's gym and weight room is located in the Ralph King Athletic Centre, just north of the soccer field. It is open for all students, faculty and staff.

Accreditation

Canada has no formal system of university accreditation. In Canada, higher education is the constitutional responsibility of the countrys 10 provinces and three territories, and universities derive degree-granting authority from provincial legislation. Concordia became a degree-granting institution in 1987, offering undergraduate and graduate degrees.

Other Degrees
