Payame Noor University was established in 1988 as the only open and distance learning university in the Islamic Republic of Iran by integrating the University of Abureihane Birouni and Iran Azad University. The University took its first intake in five degree programs at 28 study centers.
PNU educational system is focused on student, content as well as coordinated and unified exams administered throughout the country. Based on the specified resources for each course at each study field and following students self-instruction and group tutorials by teachers via educational media, students sit in coordinated exams at all PNU study centers.

I want to improve my education by studying abroad and in overall I learned good skills by going to university
Studying Computer Science at Payam Noor University of Shiraz gave me a strong foundation in the field while allowing me to manage my own study schedule. The flexible learning system was probably the thing I liked the most because it helped me balance my studies with other responsibilities and become more self-disciplined. During my bachelor's degree, I improved my knowledge of core computer science subjects and developed better problem-solving skills. Since the university expects students to study independently, I learned how to take responsibility for my own learning, which wasn't always easy but was definitely worth it. Overall, I'm grateful for the experience and the knowledge I gained there, and I believe it has prepared me well for my future academic and career goals, even though there is always more to learn.
