With the Ministry of Education's approval, we established ourselves as Singapore’s only private university in Apr 2005.We launched Singapore’s first and only Bachelor of Arts in Tamil Language and Literature (BATL) degree, which catered to adults who aspire to enhance their competency and knowledge levels in Tamil language and literature in Aug 2005.

The Centre for Applied Research (CFAR) undertakes, administers and facilitates research and related activities. It also serves as an incubation centre for research programmes and projects. CFAR, being Singapore University of Social Sciences' knowledge hub, maintains a repository of the knowledge output of all faculty, staff and students.

Academic modules can be tough to score with grade ceilings built-in (mandated by school management). Professors are generally helpful, responsive to emails and consultation sessions outside of class-time. Campus life is self-organized, most social clubs and student organizations were set up by students on their own initiative.
I really liked this university, the best thing is that you can mix your job with studies, because lectures are realised remotely on teams, and laboratories are in school. There isn't that much of a useless stuff you usually get when applying to public studies, so u can save the time and work in between.
Apart from one glaring fact, I have been satisfied with my education at SAN ?�d? so far. The glaring fact is that I enrolled in an ONLINE program, which was supposed to take place in the evenings on weekdays, but in my third year, this was changed without asking anyone for permission, and now I have lectures every other Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. On weekdays, I still have classes in the evenings.
