POLI.design, founded by Politecnico di Milano, has access to the deep reservoir of multidisciplinary skills in the first and most important technical university in Italy.Together with the School of Design and the Department of Design, it forms the Politecnico di Milano Design System, which is a pool of resources, skills, facilities, and laboratories that is among the most important in the world.
The training courses on offer are structured around two degree levels, the Bachelor’s degree, and the two-year specialisation degree.
There is also a wide range of first level Master’s courses on offer, for those who have already obtained the three-year degree, and second level Master’s, for those who have already completed the specialisation degree. Finally, after completing the second level degree, it is possible to do a research doctorate in the Department of Design department, which is highly qualified in the field of training design researchers.
The Department of Design develops a range of research, training, consultation, and technology transfer services related to the manufacturing, management, service, and communication sectors that operate in the field of design, communication, and artistic innovation, and the interconnected divisions, such as technological assistance and services related to the various scientific cultural, social, and economic areas.
The cornerstone of POLI.design lies in the disciplines of design and of the related professions. This dimension of design is broader and more systematic than ever; it takes on strategic importance and contrasts not just with the product dimension, but also the dimension of communication, services, spaces, fashion, and events.
