When the doors to the University of West Florida opened in the fall of 1967, it didn’t just mark the beginning of classes. It marked the beginning of a story—the UWF story. The GHTM program’s proximity to these beautiful Florida and Alabama Gulf Coast tourist communities provide opportunities for UWF students to gain experience while in school; and to forge career prospects beyond graduation. Graduates may work in any facet of the hospitality industry. Below are a few areas of interest:
Riverside Mews specializes in providing accomodations for longer-term residents. It's located about a mile from the UCC campus (quite a nice walk), 1/2 mile to downtown Cork, and overlooks the River Lee. The apartments are furnished nicely and include a microwave, refrigerator, clothes washer/dryer, shower, phone, television (with cable box), and a abundance of cookware and utensils.

The ITS Help Desk is your point of contact for all information technology issues. The ITS Help Desk provides technical support to UWF students, faculty, and staff on a variety of university technology services.
The University of West Florida does not require proof of insurance (with some specific exceptions) nor does Student Health Services bill insurance for services provided, but we highly recommend that students have coverage.
The UWF main campus spans 1,600 acres and is located just minutes away from historic Pensacola and some of the worlds most beautiful beaches. It features state-of-the-art facilities comfortable residence halls, and a beautiful landscape that offers a variety of recreational activities.
The Lower Level houses the selectorized and free weight equipment. The Upper Level includes an 1/8th mile indoor track that offers alternating views of the 36-foot rock climbing wall, the Rec Gym, the scenic woods outside, and the Upper and Lower Levels. The Upper Level also includes (12) 32-inch LCD monitors offering Broadcast Vision to participants using the cardio equipment.
UWF has more than 100 registered student organizations.
