The Stout University Foundation began in 1962 with a handful of visionaries who awarded two $100 scholarships after a fundraising campaign selling commemorative buttons during homecoming week.

Sports facilities
- Stout Adventures offers a variety of trips and clinics. Our offerings are open to all Stout students, faculty and staff as well as the community.
- Annual Wisconsin Indoor Climbing Series competition
- Intramural Sports is one of the most active programs on campus providing a variety of competitive and recreational sports
Student clubs
You become a member of the SSA simply by enrolling at UW-Stout. This means that you can get engaged with campus right away. Students can vote in elections or referendums, apply for a Senator position or run in an election. There are multiple ways to use your voice and advocate for students.

The UW-Stout School of Education's undergraduate and graduate professional education programs including majors, minors, and concentrations are accredited by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

I love it here
Love my school! I'm an online student and I've never had a complaint. Most of the teachers are super nice, have interesting projects and truly care about you. I found my passion in human development and family studies. I'm also getting a certificate in social work which is also online. Stout help me take my passions and turn it into a career.
Memories for Life
I attended UW-Stout during the Covid-19 pandemic. The professors were extremely helpful and adjusted to the needs of the students when learning became remote. The small-town community provides great opportunities to make friends and learn about different cultures.
COVID College Graduate
UW-Stout has majors unlike most UW schools. Students with a real passion for their major go there. Half of my college experience was during COVID. I think when we went online the quality of teaching plummeted. In person there was much more interaction and real life experiences. I had relationships with my classmates and professors. I was apart of clubs and was loving my major. While online, I taught myself the courses and lost those relationships. I was trying to work full-time and go to school full-time. I struggled to maintain my passion for my major. It was difficult to get guidance through my final semesters. With the world shut down I wish my professors were more present. Overall, Im grateful I picked UW-Stout. I am now applying for my master's in hospitality.I feel prepared for this part of my journey. I just wish those good relationships were maintained better. I hope they have improved upon their online teaching.
