Some of the Tafe-level staff were a bit iffy and annoying, but so far all Undergrad-level staff are excellent. Awesome location in Melbourne, lots of good food and lounge options, and generally very friendly people all round.
My experience at RMIT University has been very positive overall. I really liked the practical and industry-focused approach to learning, as it helped me connect theoretical concepts with real-world applications. The teaching staff were supportive and the learning environment was welcoming and diverse. One area that could be improved is providing more opportunities for industry interaction and networking events for students. Overall, I had a valuable study experience and would recommend RMIT to students looking for a balance of academic learning and practical skills.
I study online. The classes are good, most of the teachers know their stuff. Overall a good school. I would advise students looking for courses with a lot of in-depth coding and different languages to go for a computer science degree instead or do some code training in your own time. Java and web languages are the main languages taught in this course. Since starting the course I have learned a lot about the IT industry. They teach you about professional computing practices, networking, web programming, software development.
