Founded in 1870 as one of the first technological institutions west of the Mississippi.

Student services

Housing services
Our residence halls come in all shapes, sizes and floor plans – from suite-style residential colleges and apartment-style downtown halls to traditional, shared-room style halls. But if those aren’t your style, there are also fraternity and sorority houses, and the Christian Campus House.
Library services
The library is constantly looking for ways to improve and revitalize the spaces we provide our students, staff, and faculty. We want to be able to provide spaces that allow our users to succeed. Since our community has a variety of needs we must provide different types of spaces to accomodate individual and group study, social interaction, and quiet reflection.

Medical services
Student Health Services provides a variety of health and wellness services to students at Missouri S&T. From labs to flu shots to physicals and counseling, these services are provided by highly qualified health professionals who are dedicated to improving and maintaining the wellness of the entire community.
Campus life
Many consider living in an residence hall or on-campus an essential part of the “college experience.” This is where you’ll make lifelong friends, meet students from backgrounds much different than yours, and just basically have fun.
This is no ordinary campus - St. Pats, Celebration of Nations, Happy Phriday! There’s a lot going on here, and you won't want to miss any part of it. Students at S&T are heavily involved in happenings on campus, from joining a design team, to Greek life, to groundbreaking faculty-student research.
Sports facilities
Our intercollegiate athletic teams compete against other NCAA Division II universities across the country. From touchdowns to chemical equations and home runs to genetic research - our athletes take the game on and off the field seriously. Whether you’re a Division II athlete or just into intramural sports, you'll have plenty to choose from at S&T.

Missouri S&T has more than 200 student organizations. Whether you like to longboard, or run long-distance, there’s an organization for you. More into Dungeons and Dragons or Call of Duty and Halo? There’s an organization for you, too. Heck, do you just like to BBQ and eat good food? Guess what - there’s even an organization for you.

he Higher Learning Commission (HLC) is a regional accreditation agency that accredits degree-granting colleges and universities that are based in a 19-state region of the United States.
Regional accreditation validates the quality of an institution as a whole and evaluates multiple aspects of an institution, including its academic offerings, governance and administration, mission, finances, and resources. HLC’s institutional accreditation includes all degree levels as well as onsite and online offerings. Institutions of higher education in the United States may also seek accreditation through national or specialized accreditation agencies.

Journalism at Mizzou
It's a great university. Faculties are knowledgeable. A lot of hands-on practices offered. Enjoy the time here! Sports facilities are great! Student support services are helpful. Renowned for Journalism Major.
Psychology and ancient studies in Missouri
Affordable school as far as tuition, but there's not a ton of resources and there is expensive parking. I really enjoyed my time here, but it's a large school with not a ton of support for students who are looking for help with mental health. With it being such a big school there are a lot of clubs however, and there's definitely something for everyone! Greek life is a really big thing here and when you're a freshman/ sophomore it feels like everyone is involved and if you aren't that can be disheartening, but that was less of an issue after moving off campus :)
Good Research Environment & Support
Overall, my experience has been good. The courses are structured, and the professors are generally supportive. The program can be challenging at times, but it helps build technical and research skills. Some areas could improve in terms of flexibility and workload balance. I would recommend it to students who are focused and ready to work hard.
