Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi offers two distinct housing communities to meet the diverse needs of all Islanders. First-year (freshman) students are not required to live on-campus but it is strongly recommended. Students who live on-campus for at least one year are more active in campus events and activities, create a better support network, have a higher GPA, and are more likely to graduate on time than students who live off-campus.
All of our Group Fitness classes welcome participants of all fitness levels, from beginner to advanced. Although our instructors are able to provide modifications and/or variations to accommodate our participants, it is crucial for you as the participant to be aware of your limits and listen to your body’s current abilities and needs. We recommend new participants to ask questions and to notify the instructor of any previous injuries or conditions that may limit or increase the risk of injury.
Students at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi have numerous opportunities to participate in extracurricular events, activities, and organizations. The Office of Student Activities can provide further information. The list includes student organizations relating to the sciences.
