Bath Spa University is where creative minds meet. We teach and research across art, sciences, education, social science, and business. The University employs outstanding creative professionals who support its aim to be a leading educational institution in creativity, culture and enterprise.
In 1852 the Bath School of Art was established after the Great Exhibition, and there begins our long and prestigious history. The School enjoyed a reputation as one of the leading art schools in the country, and some of Britain’s best known artists, including Walter Sickert and Howard Hodgkin, studied and taught at what was to become the Bath School of Art and Design.

It has a friendly environment and everyone was super friendly and always happy to help, which made campus feel like a second home. The lecturers really cared about what they taught and about us as students they were always patient and willing to go the extra mile when we needed support.
I met some amazing people along the way, from classmates to staff, who ended up feeling like family.

pretty good!
i'm on the newton park campus and honestly the nature around the campus is the best part about bsu. i love walking down the path behind all the teaching buildings when i need to destress to simply be outside for a while.
i've had two lecturers/tutors i absolutely adore. they were definitely the highlight of the academic aspect of uni!

NASENCO course
My course is solely online so I may have a different opinion to others!
Pros of university that I have seen:
Well resourced, the library has been brilliant and has everything you could need.
Cons:
The lecturers have not been too helpful. I wonder if the course is too broad that they struggle to find content that is appropriate to everyone.
Another con for me is the strict no AI policy. I feel that this soon will be outdated. Instead of banning it completely, training staff and students on how to use it properly would be better because students are using it anyway.
The Global Student Satisfaction Awards empower students across the globe to determine the best universities of 2025. Universities with a score above 4.0 (out of 5) in any of the 7 award categories, receive Badges of Excellence. Congratulations!
