History
It all began in 1946 at the Trailways Bus Station in Covington, Kentucky. A handful of students and instructors participated in classes offered through the University of Kentucky’s educational extension services. The students were secretaries, recent high school graduates, and World War II veterans on the G.I. Bill.

The Institute for Student Research & Creative Activity (ISRCA) engages, supports, enhances and acknowledges the involvement of students and their faculty mentors in research, scholarship and creative activities throughout campus. ISRCA assists in growing the number and breadth of research, scholarship and creative activity opportunities for all NKU students.

NKU has six different resident halls to choose from: Commonwealth/ Kentucky Halls, Norse Halls, University Suites, Woodcrest Apartments, and Callahan Hall, all of which come furnished with the things you need.

Sports facilities
The Campus Recreation Center is the place to be for fitness, sports, and socializing day or night! Whether its playing basketball, or running on a treadmill, or swimming laps in the pool, there is something here for everyone. You can workout before or after class, as the Campus Recreation Center is open seven days a week. Campus Recreation Center membership is included in tuition/fees for all NKU students.

NKU was great because...
Small classroom size let me connect with my professors that allowed me to be more comfortable asking questions both in class and out
A great school with many possibilities
At NKU I was always able to find people to assist me. With the honors college, I was able to work with students in other majors, and see more of what NKU had to offer. I changed my major a few times and everyone was always receptive to my thoughts. I had a great time at NKU, and would recommend them.
Experience in the study of health education
It was a nice study experience,health is the most important wellness of a being ,been in an healthy state is determined by an healthy person.i had just 20 %partical Field work which is very low. Field work Is more important in the study of health education
