History

Education

The Center for International Education has more than 20 university partnerships, approved external programs, and over 45 short-term, faculty-led programs offered annually.

Research

The Center for Public Policy and Social Research (CPPSR), making use of the full range of University resources, is dedicated to enriching the quality of public policy, public service, applied research, University outreach, and community engagement throughout Connecticut, nationally and internationally.

Student services

The Student Center provides services and facilities, and supports programs which enhance the growth of the campus community. Students are developed and educated through active participation in all we do. Our quality is determined by the people we serve!

Housing services

Central Connecticut State University is committed to making the necessary modifications of programs, services, and facilities in order to provide qualified students with documented disabilities the opportunities necessary to pursue their educational objectives without fear of discrimination.

Library services

The  Library at CCSU consists of eight departments and is headed by a director who reports to the Provost. Currently the Library employs 1 administrator, 14 full-time librarians, 8 part-time librarians, 1 administrative assistant to the director, 11 library technical assistants/technicians and 1 office assistant.

Medical services

The CSU Board of Regents Amend Board Resolutions 12-094 and 03-15 to no longer mandate sickness insurance programs and related automatic billings at the CSUs for full-time and certain matriculated part-time students, without impacting existing accident insurance board policy.

Campus life

Mid-Campus offers three styles of living: double room with attached bath, suite with one double and two singles share living room and bath, and suite with two double rooms share living room and bath. There is plenty of space on each floor to hang out or study. 

Sports facilities

Each floor offers a kitchenette, three alcoves, and one group study room. A 2,000 sq. ft. fitness center, community kitchen, activity/game room, and large meeting room will serve the whole hall.

Student clubs

CCSU is home to more than 100 clubs and organizations that provide a sense of community, involvement opportunities, as well as many events and activities for our students.Most clubs fall within the following categories:
