In 2015, Lakehead University marked five decades as a place of exceptional and unconventional learning.

Alumni from across the globe, Thunder Bay and Orillia community members, students, volunteers, faculty, and staff came together to engage, celebrate, and share this milestone with us.

At Lakehead, we offer you an extraordinary education experience that gives you the highest potential for success. Our supportive and student centred philosophy means you are our #1 priority.

As a comprehensive and research-intensive university, Lakehead strives to nurture discovery, support innovation, and advance achievement. Through close collaboration with local and global communities, ideas put forth by our talented researchers and students have created meaningful impacts and led to the emergence of new companies and industries.

Even though you may be well-acquainted with your interests, preferences, and passions, deciding on a career path can be daunting. Perhaps you're unsure of how you can apply your degree...or maybe you're enticed by a number of careers and can't decide between them.

Use these resources to explore your options and yourself. Remember, you don't necessarily have to settle on a single career. However, having an idea of the kind(s) of work you want to pursue will allow you to direct your academic and extra-curricular energies towards potential careers of interest
