Career
The Employability & Career Centre offers the additional links with the industry. Further to this, Metropolitan College provides Student Welfare: Counselling Centre, Aca-demic Learning Centre and Personal Academic Tutors who ensure that individual learning needs of each student are covered.
Student services
Building on AMC’s tradition of valuing diversity and global outlook, AMC has established an International Student Support Office. The Office provides advice, counselling and advocacy regarding application, immigration, housing, cross-cultural and personal matters. Advice is offered on a one-to-one basis, in a confidential setting. AMC also runs group information workshops about various options available to international applicants such as how to stay and work in Greece after their studies and how to extend their student visa.
Library services
The Library is an important part of your academic experience! Metropolitan College has contemporary and fully equipped academic Libraries both in Athens and Thessaloniki with thousands of academic titles and scientific editions and Computers, thus offering a comfortable and supportive study environment.
ICT services
AMC's Computer Labs are similar to those found in the best European institutions. Modern computer systems and free access Internet labs are in place to support the educational procedure and the academic research. Accredited technicians are always at the students' disposal. Our state- of- the- art labs include a large number of computers and peripherals of the latest technology.
Medical services
AMC has entered into collaboration with Maroussi Medical Centre, one of the most renowned hospitals in Greece and the Balkans with a number of branches all over Athens as well as with the Interbalkan Medical Centre in Thessaloniki which is considered one of the most advanced hospitals in Europe. AMC students have full access to both Centres 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Campus life
AMC is located in a privately owned campus of 8,000 m² in Maroussi (northern suburb of Athens) with easy access from the town centre. AMC also has a 2.000 m2 branch in the heart of Piraeus and one in the city centre of Thessaloniki, in a historic building of 2.000 m².
Sports facilities
Metropolitan College is THE ONLY private educational organization which offers free access to a Sports Club for its students, including 25m swimming pool, fully-equipped gym and group exercise programmes, for the period October-June.
Student clubs
During various Cultural events, AMC welcomes distinguished artists, scientists, lecturers and businessmen of the arts community in Greece. Moreover, students are strongly encouraged to participate in various cultural groups and communities, according to their interests. It is a great opportunity to meet new friends with common interests as well as people from different cultural backgrounds. Students run a variety of organized extra- curricular activities, including:

Accreditation
Metropolitan College is accredited by the British Accreditation Council (BAC), certifying that it is an overseas independent higher education institution following the traditional UK semester and credit system and it offers academic programmes that cultivate scientific knowledge and respond to the current demands of the national and international employment market.

The best interactive and hands on course in Greece
I really liked the fact that our program used in almost every course interactive methods for the students to have a great learning experience. That involved labs , field trips in various industries and factories, seminars in various fields that involved mechanical engineering and also on campus machinery projects. I’m the past of those 6 years the only downside was the extensive hours of in class lessons that we took which isn’t that big of a problem
Well-Structured Biomedical Programme
The Biomedical Sciences programme at Metropolitan College provided me with a strong theoretical background in subjects such as molecular biology, immunology and physiology. I particularly appreciated the combination of scientific knowledge with practical laboratory skills, which helped me understand how research is applied in real clinical and laboratory settings. As part of my studies, I am currently completing my internship in a hospital laboratory, where I gain hands-on experience with diagnostic techniques and real clinical samples. This practical training has helped me better understand how biomedical science is applied in real healthcare environments and has strengthened my laboratory skills. Throughout the degree, I developed important skills such as critical thinking, scientific writing and data interpretation. The programme also prepares students well for postgraduate studies in fields such as bioinformatics, immunology or other laboratory-based specialisations. One area that could be improved is the availability of more specialised modules and additional hands-on laboratory hours, as practical experience is very important for future career opportunities. Overall, I would recommend this programme to students who are interested in pursuing a career in biomedical sciences or continuing with a Master’s degree. It offers a solid academic foundation and helps students develop skills that are useful both in research and in the healthcare sector.
