Named after engineer, military leader and public administrator Sir John Monash, Monash University was established by an Act of Parliament in 1958. When the first students began their studies at the foundation campus in Clayton in 1961, they became the first university established in the state of Victoria in over 100 years.

Medical clinics are located at the Caulfield, Clayton and Peninsula campuses. A team of qualified professional health-care providers staff the University Health Service and are available to provide a wide range of health care including travel advice and vaccinations, mental health, referrals, minor surgery, skin checks and pathology.
Dental and counselling services are also available.
The campuses have a wide range of food, drink and shopping options.
Monash security services are available on all their campuses 24/7. They’re here to keep you safe, with security escorts, a security bus, and 24-hour patrols.

During my bachelor's studies at UET, I gained valuable academic and practical experience through coursework, projects, and teamwork. What I liked most was the opportunity to apply theoretical concepts to real-world problems and collaborate with classmates on challenging assignments. These experiences helped me develop technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and confidence in working on engineering projects. I also learned the importance of communication, time management, and continuous learning, which I believe will benefit me in my future career.

I have recently registered at Monash University and have not started my studies yet, so I do not have direct academic experience to share at this time. However, my initial impression has been positive. The application and enrollment process was well-organised, and the information provided was clear and helpful. Monash has a strong international reputation, and I am looking forward to experiencing its learning environment, teaching quality, and student support services. I hope the program will provide a good balance between theory and practical application, as well as opportunities to develop critical thinking and professional skills.
