Founded in 1855, Millersville University of Pennsylvania was established with the ideals that teacher preparation and classical learning are essential elements of public education and enlightened citizenship. One hundred and sixty years later these ideals still hold true.

Sports facilities
Pucillo Gymnasium and the running track at Biemesderfer Stadium are available to the University community for open recreation when the facility is not in use by classes, athletic teams, Intramurals or Club Sports.
Millersville University is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, and the Pennsylvania Department of Education, and is approved by the American Association of University Women.
