Having studied architecture, Michel Glize wanted to create a workshop for students preparing for the competitive exams for entry into the Grande Ecole art schools. As such, he found LISAA in 1986, originally offering foundation years and undergraduate courses in interior architecture, design and fashion design. At this time, there were only four schools in Paris offering design courses!
Teaching at LISAA is founded on constant interaction between students, teachers and professionals, supplemented by workshops, viva exams and work placements. LISAA is one the most valued schools by recruiters, who attend the end of year viva exams to seek future talents. As a result, six months after graduating, 82% of LISAA alumni have found employment in the sector in which they conducted their studies.
LISAA is partnered with Jobteaser. You can fond internships and job offers on the platform. Their consultation is reserved exclusively for alumni and students of LISAA.
Students have elected student unions in each city in which LISAA’s schools are situated. They regularly organise student evenings and outings in order to mix students from different years and courses together. Make sure you don’t miss out on meeting them – they can also give you good advice to help you settle in.
If you are a current or future LISAA student, you can use the school’s accommodation platform. In partnership with Studapart, access hundreds of exclusive offers: studios, flatshares, homestays… and benefit from personalized support throughout your rent!
