We know it’s hard moving to a new place. It’s also important that the place we live feels like home. This is why our staff put extra effort into creating an environment where you can feel safe and free to be you.
Our eight residential communities include two apartment complexes, family housing, gender-inclusive housing, the Adventure House Living-Learning Community and our Faculty in Residence program, in addition to singles, doubles, and suites.
The library includes material pertaining to the environment, sustainability, social justice, agriculture, native and indigenous cultures and practices, and much more! It is a satellite branch of the Fort Lewis College John F. Reed Library and is included in the FLC library catalog.

With the best view in town, FLC breathes human innovation into 247 acres sitting at 6,872 feet. 12% of our “Tree campus” is xeriscaped with native and low-irrigation plants. Over half of campus energy comes from solar and wind power, and we have reduced carbon emissions by 58% since 2011.
As a student, your fees include a membership to our Student Life Center. Reach for new heights on the climbing wall, pump some iron in the weight room, raise your heartrate on a treadmill or the indoor track, or round up a few pals for some pickup b-ball. On a sunny day, of which we have no shortage in Durango, head outside to the tennis courts or the frisbee golf course.
In addition to making use of these facilities for your wellness, you can also participate in organized activities like club sports and intramural sports, or wilderness adventure trips with Outdoor Pursuits.
Whether you find your self expression and sense of connection in movement, culture, social or environmental action, or something else, there's room for you in FLC's student clubs and organizations.
FLC's community is bright and vibrant, with students, staff, and faculty from an abundance of cultural backgrounds.
