Butler University is responsible for the integrity of research conducted at the University. As a community of scholars, in which truth and integrity are fundamental, the University must establish procedures for the investigation of allegations of misconduct of research with due care to protect the rights of those accused, those making the allegations, and Butler University. Furthermore, federal regulations require the University to have explicit procedures for addressing incidents in which there are allegations of misconduct in research.

The Help Desk provides a single point of contact for the technology needs of Butler students, faculty, and staff. The Help Desk provides self service, phone, email, and walk-in support for a variety of technology services. The Help Desk does not support faculty or staff personal or home computers.
The Help Desk aims to provide excellent service to each and every user. This can cause hold times on the phone to be lengthy. Using self service or email for non urgent requests and issues will prevent users from having to wait on the phone.
The combined holdings of the Butler Libraries include access to approximately 500,000 e-books, 200 databases, 35,000 electronic journal subscriptions, 225,000 print materials, 16,000 audiovisual materials, and more than 17,000 musical scores.
All residence hall computer labs are maintained by IT and are available 24 hours for hall residents. Both Windows and Mac computers are available. Paper and toner for these lab printers are available from each hall's front desk.
