Istanbul Aydın University was established under the guidance of Anatolia Education and Culture Foundation in accordance with the additional article numbered 73 of the law numbered 5656 published in the Official Gazette numbered 26526 on the date of 18.05.2007.
The university prepares students for the future with strong sectoral cooperation, hands-on training, international relations, global diploma programs, and various support certificate programs that focus on personal development and professional competence.
The UNESCO Chair on Education for Sustainable Peace, established at Istanbul Aydın University in 2016, aims to implement peace education programs, raise awareness on human rights among women and youth from different cultures, and encourage them to contribute to a culture of peace. It focuses on research, education, capacity building, and documentation activities, aiming to strengthen cooperation between internationally renowned researchers and academics in the Balkans, the Middle East, Africa, and those in Türkiye.
The International Student Affairs Office has catered to multiple foreign student communities and has established an atmosphere where international students feel represented and accepted at Istanbul Aydin University. We want to be a part of a goal that prioritizes foreign students and their needs, a goal that embraces many cultures and aids the integration of these foreign cultures within our home, Türkiye.
IAU, in order to see to it that the university students stays in a peaceful, secure, comfortable, pleasant and hygienic atmosphere, has made an agreement with a large number of private dormitories and housing facilities in In the vicinity of university campuses. They provide our students with accommodation alternatives such as single, double, triple, and suite rooms at affordable rates.
Istanbul Aydin University follows the recent technology and provides education with the improved infrastructure. Computer facilities and high speed internet access points (kiosks) located at all over the campus are up to date and available for students free of charge from 07:00 till 23:00 including the weekends.
Health Units are serving our students and faculty 18 hours a day with three doctors and four nurses in a fully equipped clinic at Bahcelievler and Florya campuses.
Istanbul Aydın University (IAU) has 7 campuses located on both sides of Istanbul which spreads over Europe and Asia continents. Florya Campus, the main site of the university, is only 10 minutes away from the International Ataturk Airport. Majority of the first cycle (Bachelor’s) degree progrmammes and all postgraduate (second and third cycle) as well as the short cycle two-year vocational programs, are instructed in Florya Campus. Language learning centre takes place in Bahçelievler Campus which is in 6 km distance from the main campus. Each year it hosts around 2500 students who learn foreign languages, English, Spanish, Russian being the leading ones.
In the university, a great number of sports activities,which are pioneered by the Center of Health, Culture and Sports, are held with the co-operation of Student’s Council and clubs besides the activities done regularly and in a planned way.

In addition, the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Engineering Programs (MÜDEK) carries out accreditation, evaluation and information studies for engineering education and training programs in different disciplines and applies MÜDEK criteria in engineering faculties to train engineers with higher qualifications in developing technologies.

Adekunle Ajasin University is a fairly good state university with a peaceful environment that supports learning. Akungba is quiet and mostly centred around students, though it can feel isolated and a bit boring at times. Lecturers are decent and many are committed, but like most public universities in Nigeria, there are occasional disruptions in the academic calendar due to strikes or administrative delays. The facilities are average and could be improved, but they are manageable for serious students. If The government were more responsible, the school would have been far better. The cost of living and accommodation is relatively affordable compared to larger cities, which makes life easier for many students. Overall, AAUA is a good option if you are disciplined, focused, and willing to adapt to the challenges that come with studying in a public university in Nigeria.
