History
- The creation of a project begins in October University School in Computer Science , which was given the name of the Institute of Informatics and Computer Science ( IICC ), as part of the Francisco Marroquín University.

Galileo University bases its activities on the individual as a human being; recognizes the need to support the development of Guatemalans in general and is fully aware that education is the main tool for the growth of people.Believes in the teaching of ethical, legal and economic principles for a society of free and responsible people, in the peaceful coexistence of people without importance of religious beliefs, or races, or policies.
Research
Medialab is the multimedia laboratory of the Galileo University, it has the professional team for the production of audiovisual material. It is also a specialized facility for learning the techniques of TV production. It has a Chroma Key mini-studio, digital cameras, lighting equipment, etc
Library services
Bookshop
As part of the commitment to provide a quality service, Galileo University makes available to all its students the library department, with the purpose that every student, regardless of career, can obtain the bibliography used in the different courses taught.
ICT services
A wireless network that allows Internet browsing and access to the campus's internal computer systems. Students also have access to modern computer, electronics and simulation laboratories where they can work on projects that allow them to come into direct contact with state-of-the-art technology and university students from other countries

One of the most important aspects for us, at Galileo University, is the relationship between the university as an educational institution, society and students of all academic levels. Due to this and given the factors surrounding these elements, a department was created to provide them with attention
Campus life
Galileo University has a Central Campus. The buildings that make it up are a sample of high technology. It is a structure of buildings that is known under the term "smart", because both their classrooms and offices and conference rooms are interconnected by means of a high-capacity fiber optic network, linked in turn to a wireless network that allows navigation on the Internet and access to the internal computer systems of the campus.

Is UNIVERSIDAD DEL VALLE DE GUATEMALA
It is a very demanding university but you learn a lot because we do a lot of labs and field work that allows you to integrate into what can be a job in the field of biology.
Good university
Very technological. We learn the basics and they make sure you find a good place to practice.
Grate place to study.
It's been such a good experience of learning, even with the pandemic issues. They improve through the distance learning, it gave me time to read more about my career. I'm not learning only about sport science but the view goes beyond that. The campus is small but friendly, now we haven't the chance to be at the campus. I like the pensum and it's better then past years as I know. The teachers help us in whatever we have needed. Such a great place to study.
